One of the worst kept secrets has finally received its official confirmation – Greg Merson will be the WSOP brand ambassador. Merson, somewhat unwisely, on this “chatted” on Twitter even in July, and WSOP are pretended nothing was happening untill a few days ago.
Anyway, the director of the WSOP for online poker sector Bill Rini confirmed the engagement.
– Greg is a great ambassador of poker. He loves the game, his passion is more than evident, and he is very much respected in the poker community. It is great that we have him on the team. I hope that the cooperation will be beneficial to him and to our company – said Rini.
Greg Merson is, as you probably know, the WSOP Main Event champion in 2012. Then he cashed $ 8.5 million, and his total live payment is slightly less than 11 million. 26 years old, was born in Washington, DC and currently lives in Maryland.
