Darren Elias, has not sounded too familiar in the poker community till now, but the time has come to change that. Major titles are bypassed him a wide berth, but in the weekend behind us, it changed.
Darren Elias won the WPT Borgata Poker Open in Atlantic City, and in the name of the first prize takes home more than serious 873,744 dollars.
In heads up he managed to defeat Kane Kalas, who was the chip leader for almost the entire final table, and where the second prize of half a million dollars is also the biggest “catch” in his career. In the decisive hand, all the chips flew into the middle of the river T7J4K, Kalas had AK and Elias K4.
